Hello, Health Information Technology World:
The HITECH Act is part of the ARRA, 2009, which is the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act or simply the “stimulus.”
One of the provisions of this HITECH Act is to give $40B to healthcare providers to implement Electronic Health Records, and one of the characteristics of these records is that they have to have “meaningful use.”
My business partner (Afam) and myself have a company (Tri-State HIM) that will help doctors with the selection and implementation of these records, so we thought that having a Web site by the name meaningfuluse.com would be cool, but to our dismay, that name was already taken.
So, a good alternative was meaningfuluseOK.com and that was available, so we grabbed it.
Could you, guys, go visit our site and give us your opinion as to the usefulness of it?
The link is: http://www.meaningfuluseOK.com
What we are trying to build is a HITECH Act Portal, with all the necessary information, gathered in just one place, to save time to anybody who is interested in the matter.
Any comments, kudos, links are welcome.
Thanks
Barnaby
